Sanad Scholarship:

Under this program, fees are covered ranging from 10 to 100 percent.

Eligibility Criteria for DOHA INSTITUTE FOR GRADUATE STUDIES SCHOLARSHIP

For Master’s Applicants;

Hold a bachelor’s degree in the specialized field or a related area, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 from a recognized university approved by the Qatari Ministry of Education and Higher Education.

The field of specialization should align with the research area the candidate is applying for.

Obtain a bachelor’s degree through full-time study or its equivalent within the last five years.

Final-year undergraduate students can apply if they expect to receive their degrees by August 1st of the same year.

PhD Applicants:

Possess a bachelor’s degree in the specialized field or a related discipline, with a GPA not less than 3.25, and a master’s degree with a GPA not less than 3.50 out of 4.00 (or its equivalent) from an accredited university recognized by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Qatar, in a field related to the research area, applied for.

Demonstrate full-time study for both bachelor’s and master’s degrees.

Exhibit proficiency in Arabic for academic study and research, along with a degree of English language proficiency.

To qualify for the doctoral scholarship, the candidate must:

Secure admission to the institution.

Demonstrate financial need, lacking the means to finance a doctoral degree and not holding any other scholarships.

The scholarship encompasses two semesters, during which the student must fulfill the first phase’s course requirements. Failure to do so within this timeframe will result in the student being responsible for additional fees, as specified by the institution.

Requirements Before Applying

International applicants should provide a Passport for identification purposes, while citizens and residents of Qatar should submit their Qatari ID.

Undergraduate transcripts are required. Final-year students must furnish transcripts reflecting all completed coursework.

Graduates must present their graduation certificate or diploma.

A comprehensive resume (CV) is necessary.

TOEFL or IELTS scores, or an official statement affirming English as the primary language of instruction, are mandatory.

A Personal Statement is part of the application.

Applicants to the School of Social Sciences and Humanities are required to submit an Academic Essay.
