Destination Australia Scholarship is ongoing and currently accepting applicants from all over the world. This scholarship program is funded by the Australian government’s Department of Education. It aimss at attracting and supporting study in regional Australia, growing regional tertiary education providers, and offering students a high-quality learning experience.
Destination Australia Scholarship – Objectives
The Destination Australia scholarship’s objectives are to:
- Attract and encourage research in regional Australia
- Develop regional Australian tertiary education providers
- Provide students with a high-quality learning experience.
Benefits of Destination Australia Scholarship
Accepted applicants for this program with receive AUD 15,000 per year, totaling $60,000 over four years.
Eligibility Requirements for Destination Australia ScholarshipÂ
To be eligible for the Destination Australia Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Applicants must be an International student
He or she must possess a student visa for the scholarship’s duration
Candidates must be commencing students at UQ’s Gatton campus in 2024
Must have obtained a full offer to study an eligible program at UQ Gatton campus in 2024
Study full-time via Internal study mode at UQ’s Gatton campus
Reside in a regional area of Australia for the scholarship’s duration
Not eligible for dual degrees with the Bachelor of Agribusiness

The Destination Australia Scholarship for International Students covers the following study areas:
Bachelor of Agricultural Science
Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Honours)
Bachelor of Veterinary Technology
